THE DEBUT ALBUM
What Comes Next
Over the past few years, the world has changed in ways none of us could have predicted.
The pandemic reshaped how we live, how we work, and how we support the art and communities we care about. Global alliances have shifted, and nothing is the same as when we began this project.
Like everyone else, we’ve had to adapt to a new reality.
For a long time, we tried to keep our music as accessible as possible—sometimes even free—because we believe that music should belong to everyone.
That belief hasn’t changed.
What has changed is the cost of simply existing in the world around us.
Groceries cost more. Rent costs more. Gas, equipment, studio time, software, strings, cables, and the thousand other things that go into creating and sharing music all cost more.
None of those things are free, and unfortunately, neither is the time and labour that goes into making the music we love.
Because of that, we’ve had to adjust how we price our releases and merchandise going forward.
This wasn’t an easy decision.
If it were up to us, we would keep giving everything away forever.
But in 2026, sustaining the band, producing new music, and continuing to share it with you means asking for a fair price for the work that goes into it.
To be clear: we still believe music should be accessible.
We will continue doing everything we reasonably can to keep our work within reach for the people who want to hear it.
But we also need to ensure that the band can survive, keep creating, and keep moving forward.
We hope you understand, and we’re deeply grateful to everyone who continues to support independent music and independent artists.
Thank you for listening, for sharing, and for being part of this with us.
Sincerely,
Dave and Brian
